Scappini was founded in 1893 by Pietro Scappini. Dedicated to finding and providing the best quality, his dream materialized in the opening of the first shop in Castagneto Carducci.
    The local nobility were the first customers for the finest glassware and porcelain that Pietro sold in his shop, and by early 1900 it became necessary to open another branch in nearby Donoratico.
    Both shops continue to flourish and over the years have established themselves as providers of quality products and superior service.
      From then until now, 5 generations and over 100 years of experience have contributed to refine our business in terms of quality, reliability and professionalism we provide to our customers.
    The SHOP in Donoratico, run by LICIA and ALBERTO SCAPPINI is the center of the business, where highly qualified staff can help guide you through choosing from our range of products from the most prestigious companies ( ALESSI, HAVILAN, LALIQUE, VENINI and others).
    For many years we have been providing a wedding list service, now available on-line, enabling your guests to view, choose and order articles from your custom made wedding list.
    Recently, to satisfy the increased demand we have refurbished our shop in Castagneto Carducci which now trades under the name of ScappiniStore. Under the guidance of ALESSANDRO SCAPPINI the youngest (so far) member of the family this branch is dedicated to home furnishings, offering ethnic furniture from all over the world. In collaboration with Oltre frontiera (across borders) we offer modern and antique furniture and household objects from INDIA, INDONESIA, PHILIPPINES, VIETNAM, MEXICO, CHINA, NEPAL, BURMA, THAILAND, MALI and other countries. Made by craftsmen from the most exotic materials these items offer exceptional quality and uniqueness.
